The Domino Transplant Explained.

What is a Domino Transplant?

The Domino Transplant is an orthortopic transplant performed using a heart which has come from a patient receiving a new heart and Lungs, this is in the case of both Samantha and Myself when back in 1987 we became the World’s Youngest Domino Transplants at that time.

The hearts are unaffected but have slightly thickened right side, which is accustomed to pumping at a slightly higher rate as a result of lung disease.

The hearts are usually used for patients with a higher pressure in the lungs….
